The Secretaries General Meeting of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdictions of the Islamic World (CCJ-I), under the current term presidency of the Turkish Constitutional Court, was conducted online on 17 January 2024. The meeting was attended by the Turkish Constitutional Court’s Secretary General, Dr. Murat Şen, Deputy Secretary General, Mr. Yücel Arslan, and Director of International Relations, Mr. Fatih Çağrı Ocaklı.

The meeting, commencing with opening remarks by Dr. Şen, reviewed the activities carried out in 2023. The focus of the discussions centred on the application intended for submission, representing the CCJ-I, to the World Conference on Constitutional Justice (WCCJ), for the CCJ-I to be recognised as a member of the Bureau of the WCCJ, encompassing regional and linguistic international judicial associations. Furthermore, deliberations were made regarding the member court set to host and assume the term presidency for the upcoming Congress in 2024.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of ideas concerning the planned activities for 2024.
